What to Wear?

It's that time again! I can smell family photo time in the air. I went out today with my girls to Ernie Miller park in Olathe to scout out some great photo locations for a few family bookings this weekend! If you live in the Midwest you will know that we have had some tricky weather lately! Warm, then cold, then frigid cold temps below freezing!!!!! We are back to normal this week and I will say some foliage was affected but for the most part the beautiful trees are still changing color and make for great layers for family photos!!!
I always get the question when booking sessions, "What do we wear?" I have to say its all about personal taste and personality. I can say solid is better than prints and if you are doing your photos outside make sure to find a few accent colors that pop so you don't blend into the backgrounds of greens, browns, and reds.
Also ladies, if you want to wear shoes with a heel, bring sandals or something comfortable for walking and getting into those awesome spaces in the woody areas that might be tricky in the mud or whatever you may encounter on picture day.
At the end of the day, don't stress too much about it as long as everyone is happy the photos will be great regardless of what you are wearing!! I included some really popular combinations that I have seen and really picture well.
